$20,000 scratch off ticket voided due to this error

>>>TIME NOW FOR THE RETURN OF THE RIDICULOUSIST. A TIME HONOR ED AMORISM OF EASY COME, EASY GO. A WOMAN BOUGHT A TWO DOLLAR LOTTERY TICKET AND WAS THRILLED WHEN SHE FOUND SHE MATCHED ONE OF THE NUMBERS AND WON $20,000.>>YOU WDON’T KNOW HOW EXCITED WAS. I HAVE A SISTER, I COULD HELP HER WITH HER MEDICAL BILLS.>>SO THAT’S REALLY SWEET. SHE WANTED TO USE THE MONEY TO HELP HER SISTER. EVEN THOUGH THE TICKET CLEARLY SHOWS THAT SHE WON $20,000, WHEN SHE WENT TO COLLECT HER HER WINNINGS, THEY SAID THERE WAS A MISTAKE AND THE TICKET WAS ISSUED IN ERROR. LET’S JUST SAY E’M NOT SURE I WANT TO LIVE IN A WORLD WHERE YOU CAN’T EVEN TRUST YOUR SCRATCHOFF TICKETS ANYMORE.>>THIS IS WHAT A NORMAL TICKET IS SUPPOSED TO LOOK LIKE. THIS IS THE TICKET THAT NEWMAN BOUGHT WITH THE WINNING NUMBERS AT THE BOTTOM SUGGESTING THAT THE MACHINE CUT THE CARDS IN THE WRONG SPOT.>>JUST LIKE THAT. LIKE SO MUCH SILVER SCRATCHOFF DUST BLOWING INTO THE WINDS. THE MACHINE MAYBE CUT THE TICKET IN THE WRONG SPOT. WHAT I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IS HOW THAT QUALIFIES AS ARDELLA’S PROBLEM AND NOT A VIRGINIA LOTTERY PROBLEM. AND SHE WOULD LIKE TO KNOW THAT, AS WELL.>>IF YOU LOOK AT THE TICKET, IT SAYS I WON THIS MONEY. I WANT WASN’T ANYTHING THAT I DID WRONG. IT WAS WHAT THEY DID WRONG.>>COULDN’T AGREE MORE. NOT SINCE THE CONNORS WON THE LOTTERY ON “ROSEANNE” HAVE I BEEN SO DISAPPOINTED. ARDELLA HAS FILED A COMPLAINT. I CAN CAN ONLY HOPE THEY’RE SENDING OUT THEIR TOP LOTTERY DETECTIVES TO DUST FOR FINGERPRINTS AND

  1. Lol this is crap, when you buy a scratch off it says in the playing rules "5 chances to win!" So you know how many numbers you will be scratching

  2. Had to read comments CNN wtf u lie for there was 2 tickets that 16 was on top card but winning number on bottom card

  3. she 'DID NOT' win the error is justified and the ticket itself has a security measure in place to prevent any kind of fraud. the total winning prize is spelled out in 3 letters throughout the ticket. (Example: $5.00 <F I V>) On her ticket I clearly see a 'Z' & a 'P' so yep it was an error and some people are still going to act ignorant thinking she won and the lottery wont pay up.

  4. It's stories like this that are the reason I do not play the lottery , its a sham and how the lottery did that woman is wrong .
I'll never waste my money buying a ticket ,you obviously can't win or at least if you do win, they won't pay out , just give you an exscuse instead , lame lottery game.

  5. Let me get this right , if I buy a lottery ticket and scratch off and see no matching number I throw it away lose $5-$10-$20 , when I scratched off and see the matching winning number and it’s a error ( misprint ) ??? What a fucking scam , look at the ticket who fucking printed ? Is it fake ? You people setting up & printing lottery scratch off ticket for people to use their money to buy some luck when it match and wins you tell them it’s an error or misprint ??? your mistake not the people who buying it , how many lost ticket out their people scratched and lose why don’t you say it’s misprinted or error , this fucking make me mad .

  6. I bought a ticket in or about October 23,18, at 711 in the Cityof Rosemead on New, Garvey. Then i bought another ticket and checked at 711 in S. El monte. I never play ,but i looked up the numbers and asked the cashire if my numbers were good. I was give at lest the best of my knowledge wrong information. Why ? The individual walked out with my ticket to ask a worker. I was then told that it was was worth 2 dollares. Plus keeped it , thats really got me thinkink. I was respecfull but assertive. All who were around noticed something was wrong. I then went CVS/CVC and asked a young girl if my numbers were good. Then took the ticket an came back with it being charged. I said i only asked for the numbers. Then oferred me 4 dollars. I no, i did not take the money and told thr person that i would back. I did 2 times. I no longer see thr original clerk, but on You Tube i think i saw here and i older woman that wittnes the whole event. I went back to 7 11 to Check and just went back to Cvc. It is my mistake . But they could have been straight with me. I would not have forgotte. I just recently lost my walllet an offerd the girl that found it 20 dollars.

  7. I am playing Black Sabbath. Neon Nights. Call me at 626 774 1248. Im not mad. I just wish i could have know
    But thats my fault

  8. thats happendes to my husband. the news paper printed the wrong number. we won oooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

  9. You can clearly see the dotted lines where it should of been cut , and the top looks like it was cut by hand 🧐… it honestly looks like she bought 2 tickets and then cut it her self trying to get over on the lottery , anyone saying she can get a attorney has no idea what they are talking about because it’s clearly 2 separate tickets

  10. Why the fuck does everyone say give her the money. They were two separate tickets. She is obviously trying to milk this situation. She is now facing fraud charges from the Virginia lottery so stfu everybody saying give her the money.

  11. Hahaha only thing better wouldve been if an employee had loaded those fake ones in a machine …. I want to do that to one of the annoying customers that stand at the counter talking while they scratch the ticket

  12. They should pay, maybe they did already because sales will decline and the stores selling tickets and telling people they didn't win is another problem too

  13. Cutting a ticket wrong wouldn't change the design and color of the ticket. This is fake news that was created to make money through the media.

  14. Should be a sueable offense,. Anderson talking all, dust for fingerprints…. Look kid that's not how it works……mind puppet… I got a Ten dollar scratch I gotta take before the lotto board tommorow

  15. Ardella Newman tried this before.
    She was caught then.
She was caught this time too.
She is a cheater and should ba in jail.

  16. lol That's obviously cut with scissors or a paper cutter. Those machines don't cut like that. As many have said in the comments it is perforated.
What a load of phony baloney. Anyone that plays lottery tickets could see that was for the next ticket. Pif…

  17. I would be so disappointed. I would be planning to: help sick sis, buy top shelf alcohol, KFC wings, and save the rest for rainy day. Now the only rain this poor woman has is her tears of distraught 😭

  18. Just like how casinos can screw you out of your money if the don’t want to pay when you win at slots . Also called a machine error that wasn’t supposed to payout at that time basically saying they are rigged . Which they claim is impossible so it was a technician error when doing maintenance on the machine . It’s happened more than once . I mean the lottery and the casino make millions daily whatever lil jackpot the player gets is pocket change to them and yet the are so freaking greedy they basically steal your money and whom ever watches over them that it’s their job to stop bs like that let it happen . Kickback of course $$$ .

  19. You gotta be the store owner to get paid for crap like that, lottery is a scam, they don’t question store owners and even after the truth comes out we will let them keep the million they cheated but our machine screwed this lady over, that’s to bad, sue them

  20. The "Your numbers" and the "Winning numbers" she hit were on 2 separate tickets so no…she shouldn't get any money.

  21. No, it's the way the machine cut the ticket. It's how the people put them in the machine that work at the store. I had the same thing happen. You can clearly see the winning numbers should be on top.

  22. Of course that’s not right…. it’s not one ticket….. it’s two! It’s like taping two lottery tickets together and asking for the prize. Not gonna happen.

  23. Uhhh, any person with common sense knows this…the preferrated lines is the top or bottom of the ticket…I mean any kid working behind the counter could cut the ticket wherever and make it a $20,000 winner? No, it was a machine malfunction…one of those little "shitty coincidences" all of us adults have to deal with
    ..get over it.

  24. U thought u won, bullshit u knew that shit cut off the next ticket just like it did before ur ticket…u lost and knew it wasn't ur numbers another bum wanting something for free…anyone surprised????

  25. If your a regular player then you'll know that the Machine cut the card wrong and you also know how to play the game! Just move on and blessings will come..

  26. Anderson Cooper is sofa king stewpit. It was two different tickets cut in the wrong place. Anyone can buy a string of tickets and find a number from one that belongs to the other ticket, then just cut them in two. Its not the lottery’s fault. It might be the fault of the person loading the lottery machine or who tore them off the reel. Anderson is as fake as CNN

  27. the ticket is ripped, it's obviously 2 different tickets. you can see the perforation. sucks, but the machine cut it wrong. it's that simple. it's not a winner, anyone who thinks it is, is out of their mind

  28. they just cant say that! black and white it won! they should be ordered by a court to pay! and fix the machine on their own time!

  29. You can totally see that it was ripped and there was a line in the bottom of it where the new card started…..

  30. Does not matter what the bar code says. The TICKET rules state that if you match you win. Case closed. I had a friend who bought a misprinted ticket that said match 2 (not 3) and win the prize. The lotto said no, misprint. He sued them and got his Million… What the ticket says is what the ticket is, otherwise it is misleading advertising and they are open to class action lawsuit from everyone who ever bought a lottery ticket. but looking at the ticket, Not a ligit cut on the ticket. She obviously bought two tickets off the "roll" and either they didnt separate them at the store or they are both in on it. If you are going to try to scam the system, at least buy a $1 utility knife and make the cuts square and clean.

  31. They not her made the mistake
    They should pay her!!!
If they don’t she should make sure everyone knows about this so people will boycott the Virginia lottery

  32. IN CASE NOBODY KNOW THIS BY NOW…..Here's the outcome.

To me, it now makes sense that she should NOT have received with 20 grand win.
Its pretty obvious the "top" part of the next ticket -is on the bottom of her's
    (even she should know that)

    https://kfor.com/2015/09/10/woman-who-believed-she-had-won-20000-from-lottery-could-face-charges-in-separate-lottery-case/

  33. When u buy tickets u can tell if it's cut wrong,u thought u won but admitted u thought…u knew ur just an illerate idiot that thinks even the lottery owes u something that u knew damn well u didn't win and u know you are so greety that u make up bogus shit, ohh I'm gonna help this person u only want to help yourself…what an idiot…lottery office u better give her free money because that's what she wants….

  34. The reporter is a idiot she shouldn't get the 20k for a simple mistake she should at least get her money back just imagine the other person getting their lottery ticket with no winning numbers so should automatically say "I should get 20k for getting a card without winning numbers. You can even see where the machine was supposed to cut the ticket on her photocopy of it this why reporters should be unbiased lol

  35. pause at 1:08
The winning numbers for the green card are not known. The winning numbers seen at the bottom are for the card that was cut off. Even the reporter says the winning numbers should be at the top.
The winning numbers for the green card should not be at the bottom–those numbers are for the card under the perforation.

  36. NO, NO, NO….SHE WON THAT MONEY IN FAIRNESS. THE ERROR IS NOT HER PROBLEM. PAY THIS LADY AND LEARN FROM YOUR MISTAKE.

  37. they Gäiph her 10k späre tickhetz… she didnt win… aGäin…
    gave her anöther 10k..? yeah
    then she göt her 20k ^ ^
she scräcc she träcc but ´´machine´´ she nö häcc v v

  38. i live in richmond, va and have played the lottery for 19 years.
the ticket was cut wrong! she scratched the bottom of the ticket and saw the cash code beside the bar scan code. the bar scan code and the cash code (three letter code bpz, bpd) say the ticket is a loser. and she definitely plays the lottery enough to know that.
however, va lottery knew that those tickets were printed wrong, and decided to sell them knowing that no prizes could be collected.
the va lottery should give the lady $10,000- she knew it was a losing ticket, va lotto should have a way to verify the tickets are printed accurately.. if she sues for millions, she should be awarded $20,000 (her prize she would have won) and have to pay her attorney and court fees.

  39. Funny how copper does not tell anyone she tried to scam the lottery with a altered ticket before!LOL!!!

  40. I'll NEVER buy a scratch off ticket from the crooks of Virginia. We should all stop buying them from Virginia and just cross state lines.

  41. Terrible, what was the end result? Love this show! Just looked this up and apparently the women was facing charges for fraud during the investigation. http://www.fox5dc.com/news/virginia-lottery-woman-altered-ticket-to-make-it-look-like-a-winner

  42. Anderson cooper has less viewers then nick at night, is that an error? I think not, it’s most likely due to all the fake news he reports.
