Michael Shackleford it was also known as
The Wizard of odds and the author of
gambling 102
gives a quick rundown on the best
strategies for playing five popular
casino games
baccarat roulette three-card poker
ultimate texas holdem
and pike al poker now here’s michael
Shackleford
baccarat as a simple game its like
betting on the possible coin
there’s two main that’s called the
banker and the player
up you don’t need to worry about the
rules the dealer knows what cards to
deal and how to add up the points and
everything
the house advantage on the banker bet is
1.06 percent
on the player is 1.24 percent there’s
also a side bet on it high
it pays 821 but has a house advantage
%uh 14.36 percent and some casinos
offer to a pair Abetz on a banker or a
player
pair those each have a house advantage
of 10.36 percent
so as you can see the best bets by far
are on the banker in the player
the better of the two being the banker
the optimal strategy for baccarat
simply but the banker every time you’ll
see everyone else at the table keeping
um notes about the whole trend if the
shoe trying to look for pattern
trust me it’s a waste of time banker is
always
the best bet
roulette is one of the oldest and most
simple casino games
arm under this standard American double
0 version the house advantages 5.26
percent
on every bet except for the zero doubles
0.23
5 number combination if you wanna bet on
those numbers
just bet on the individually otherwise
it doesn’t make any difference what you
do
house a man is still that 5.26 percent
now
if you play singles era let which you
can sometimes find in the high limit
rooms
that cuts down the house advantage to
2.70 percent
a similar game is
Atlantic City roulette Dave have the
double 0
we’ll but if you makin even money but
and it lands in zero or double 0 you
only lose half
that results in a house a manager 2.63
percent
so if you’re in atlantic city only make
even money that’s
finally there’s the European rules
which some Las Vegas casinos have in
their high limit rule
rooms this is like singles era roulette
but if the ball lands and 0 you only
lose half your bet
that cuts down the house advantage to
1.35 percent
three-car
one of the most successful new casino
games out there um
the player gets the car to dealer gets
three cards arm
the player has a chance to race is
better fold after he sees his card
and then the better hand wins however if
the dealer has less than a queen hi
it’s like he folds and you only when
your original but assuming you have
unfolded
oMG the house advantage under correct
strategy
is 3.37 percent on the anti that there’s
also a side bet called the pair plus
most of the time that follows what I
call the one three six thirty forty pay
table
that results in a 7.2 eight-percent
house advantage
however some casinos follow the more
liberal 146 30-40 pay table
that results in a much lower house
advantage at 2.32 percent
the basic strategy and three-card poker
is really easy
you raise if you have a hand of Queen 64
or better
otherwise you fold
alt
texas holdem is one of the most
successful new casino poker variants out
there
the house and manages quite low at 2.19
percent
assuming optimal strategy which is kinda
complicated
I’m gonna lead huge through just the
first decision points
went are based on your first two cards
you should make the big race
with two cards if you have a pair threes
are higher
if you’re a senior hand if you have
unsuited King
fiver higher suit or any suited King
hand
if you have queen hi make the big race
with Queen
eight er better or if you have a suit a
queen hand
suited Queen 6 or higher make the big
race with
and unsuited Jack 10 or with suited Jack
8 or better and on the strategy for
the medium and a small raise hands can
be found on my website was a robot’s dot
com
and as always avoid the side its
I go
OCR is a nice up simple slow game with a
lot of ties so it’s a good time killing
game if you don’t want to lose a lot of
money
up the game is a simple even running
game however if you when you have to pay
five percent commission
the house advantage when you’re acting
as the player
going against the dealer or another
player is 2.73 percent
if your banking the game which you’re
allowed to do with I got a poker the
house advantage drops to 0.20 percent so
I highly recommend
invoking you’re trying to be the banker
when it’s your turn um
the reason for the house advantage in
Pai Gow Poker comes from both
at five percent commission and also the
dealer
umm whens like poppies finally about I
got a poker
that game always has lotsa side bets on
it and
avoid them they’re all soccer bets if

  1. I haven't tried the new table games because the house advantages are too high, even if you play the optimum correct strategies.  Nice video as always, Michael.

  2. Three card poker use my tip, yes I play it professionally:

with King or higher, call, otherwise fold, with Queen high it's really a low hand, while King high is astondingly higher, and highcard Ace is very high relatively

  3. Soaring Eagle casino here in Michigan has single zero roulette only $5 minimum and you get half back if it lands in zero on an even money bet.

  4. Always bet on bank? Sure,if you want to lose your money very quickly. It is very common for player to come up 4-5 times in a row. If you just bet on bank there is just no way you can make that up.

  5. I have a few other questions for you. I heard that some side bets in baccarat such as the dragon 7 and panda 8 can be beaten with card counting but the counting is different than the card counting in blackjack is this true? The second question is I heard the roulette can be won if there is a biased wheel, meaning if the casino does not maintain the wheel properly it can land on certain numbers more often is this true?

  6. this didn't help me at all. lol wow. "always bet banker" I dare you to do this, and lose everything on the long run.

  7. The Banker advantage is too slight to rely on. I have seen the Player win 8 to 10 times in a row, and I have seen the Player win a shoe overall. The Banker advantage is very slight.

  8. Listen, the banker bet has a very very slight edge over the player bet, and this is over tens of thousands of hands. In other words, negligible. If you simply bet banker every hand, then what you're doing is taking away all the intuition involved. Go with your gut, and look for patterns. Also, pay attention to the count. This is something most players (Asian players included) tend to basically ignore. For example, if you look up at the board and see that the bank has won 17 hands, and the player 16, then bet player to even it up on the next hand. After all it's what they call a 50/50 game, and l think that's accurate.

  9. Very first time in the casino my friend and I were playing Pai Gow Poker. He got 5 of a kind and didn't bet the bonus. The very next hand, I got 5 of a kind, and hadn't bet the bonus either. Moral of the story. I always throw something on the bonus even it's a sucker bet because the moment you don't is when you get some ridiculously rare hand. Last time I played I actually hit a straight flush that paid for my whole trip to vegas. 😀

  10. the banker is NOT always the best bet ESPECIALLY when its losing. iv seen the player romp all over the banker by huge margins …iv seen 50 players and only 24 bank wins in a single shu…in a 50/50 game things like this shouldn't happen but it does happen. …the best way to bet is to look for repeating patterns like 'ppbbppbb' or chop pbpbpbpb. and of course runs on either side. after 2 or 3 wins in a row double or triple your base bet.
