In many casinos you are allowed to double
down on any two cards at a black jack table.
So if your dealt a two and a five you can
double down. If your dealt a two and a three
you can double down. I’m not saying you should
but you can. Your allowed to double down if
your two cards equal sixteen but let’s talk
about when to actually take advantage of this
rule. Well obviously you’re going to double
down on elevens every time. You’re going
to double down on tens virtually every time
and then it gets a little more sort of dependent
on the situation. If you have two cards that
add up to nine. Well you look at the dealers
up card if the dealer has a two through a
seven. Then yes double down. If you have an
eight and the dealer shows a five or a six
double down and just so we can be sure don’t
just trust me. Make sure that you go to a
gift shop and get a basic strategy card. So
that you know other situation when you might
double down with eight and then lastly. There’s
a situation with soft hands where it’s time
to double down if you get a soft seventeen
which is six plus an ace. There in about half
the situations you want to double down. So
defiantly pick up a basic strategy card so
that you can get a very clear idea when to
double down on any two cards.

  1. Double down on soft 17?? Thats terrible advice lol if the dealer has 6 or less showing an you have 11-9 then yes double down.
