Board Game Review: Love Letter

Board Game Review: Love Letter

Hi, I’m Leslie with Tutor Games and I’m
here to do a game review about Love
Letter. It’s by AEG and designed by Seiji Kanai and the number of
players with 2 to 4 players for ages
10 and up. It’s a very
short introduction game to card games
and so take about maybe 20 minutes. The
theme of the game is to write a letter
of love to the princess. You’re trying to
get your letter closest to her as and
you do that by playing these cards that
are available. The player wins when you
get the most tokens of affection and
it’s easily done by the abilities on
each and every card. There are only
15 cards in the game and all of them go
from 1 to 8 and it’s a easy pick-&-
play sort of game. You pick, you draw
your card, and you see which ones you
want to play, then you play the card and
you use all the action and that is on
the card. The game type is an elimination
type of game where you are trying to
knock out the other players, and when
you’re the last one standing you get
that token of affection. The player level
is easily introduced as a beginner
type of game because all the actions are
very clear in each card, and I would
personally rate this a 3 because- because
it’s such an easy introduction game to
card games, and another reason why
it’s a 3 is because I personally find
these kinds of games easy because I can
easily deduce after each card is played
which card you left because there are
only 15 yards in these games- in this
game, so but I’m it’s still really fun
quick and easy game to play so it’s I
it’s if I had nothing to do it could
easily pull out Love Letter just like
all right let’s go! So if you like this
