  1. – If you missed any Day in the Life vids, here's the entire series playlist. Comment on what else you want to see. Also, if you have questions about Japan, your travels, food, want to connect with people who love Japan, check out my Paolo from Tokyo community on discord!

  2. dude, i love these so much! thank you, you have a great fun way of showing us real life which is hard to break into. bravo! thank you!

  3. Mass Hiring for college grads huh?…that would be nice in the states lol but amazing nonetheless to see the life of a progammer and work area, just had me all giddy looking at everything!

  4. 10:57 anytime you see posted notes in scrum meeting, it just means the project manager is a scrub copy-pasting outdated methodologies without thinking.

  5. The way the workplace is organized looks really similar to where I work in Canada! I have a scrum meeting every morning and the sprint review meeting every two weeks. We can book meeting rooms too and we have a tablet in each meeting room to see the meeting schedule of the room. I'm coding at the "black screen" from morning to evening too hahaha except that some days I do get spare time to play foosball in the afternoon. Also, I'm a web developer, that's another difference.
Thank you Paolo for this amazing insight into the life of a programmer in Japan – considering Masa works at Bandai Namco, that makes it even more interesting!

  6. Can you do a day in the life of a game character designer for the next day in the life?
PS. I really love this series!

  7. 6:22 Haha, that was funny. They can choose to play almost any videogame that has ever existed, but they still go for one of the classics.

  8. I'm really sorry if I come across as an asshole but I have to point out that game devs don't get to "play games whenever they want". This is giving people the wrong idea about game development and this company. The equipment is mostly used for testing features they're trying to implement.

Sorry again, it's just this is my industry and people think we just play games and have no idea how nightmarish crunch time can be!! Love these videos though, especially this one!!

  9. Interesting to see they have 30 minute daily scrum meetings. Agile in the US seems to stress 15min only and that employees stand to enforce the meetings don't go on too long.

  10. "Only wash my face and change my clothes"
He doesn't take a shower. Like damn, I've been meeting too many people who don't shower every morning. That's wrong

  11. You've actually met the game director of Code Vein? And really acted that calm?
I would die instantly of emotion meeting him so casually xD

  12. I love this series! Last week I watched the mangaka episode and it encouraged me so much that it made me stick to my best routine and go through one of my most productive weeks in months. I am so glad you made a new episode, gonna watch it right now 🙂

  13. This seems like a stark contrast to what you hear in a lot of Japanese workplaces with awful bosses and working conditions that work you to death. Just based on this video, BandaiNamco looks like a great place to work

  14. I love this "Day in the Life of a Japanese" series! Thank you for always bringing good, interesting quality story of each person 🙂 I'm looking forward to next episode~

  15. Don't know how well he gets paid but the job seems pretty sweet with clocking on at 10 and free drinks and not super amounts of crazy overtime.
