Hotel Le Méridien Lav: Labs360 did an amazing job!


We just finished doing our 360° production
of our wonderful resort together with Labs360. The co-operation was very good.
We are very happy with the final product. We have done fourteen shots
of the entire property. The reason why we did it…
In the world of Internet and multimedia it is very important to get
the right image accross. People can access everything,
can see everything. But using this tool and at the same time
portray your property or hotel in the right way becomes
more and more important. Cause nevertheless, people using
the Internet more and more they still wanna touch and feel things. And I think 360° presentation
is the best way to get accross what your product, your hotel,
your property is all about. Especially in the times of Internet,
that is often the only way. I believe a lot of guests are sick and tired
of pictures, of photos. Cause by now they figured out that most
hotel photos are so “photoshoped” that it often doesn’t really reflect
the reality anymore. Therefore the 360°, I think they trust it more
and it really brings accross more the reality than just a picture. We tried it around already
on two international fares where our director of head marketing
is currently and she just gave me some feedback yesterday that the feedback of our professional clients
like people who book meeting rooms like it´s not the end consumer is really fantastic, they really love it. Cause really if you´re not on the property
it´s the best way to get the overall impression of what it is and what it looks like. Again, we´re just starting now
so to say the final result, it´s too early to say, but I´m sure
it will be very positive. The co-operation with Labs360
was very good. It was a process of 3-4 months
cause they really wanted to get it done perfectly and we wanted
to get it done perfectly so they´ve done a lot of reshots and
coming in the morning at 5 o’clock and I really have to say to Labs360,
they, from their side, they were very, very flexible and
didn’t have any problem to come at 4 o’clock in the morning or
at 11 o’clock at night just in order to get results, to get the,
really, the perfect shot done with the perfect light, with the perfect sun,
with the perfect weather condition so, they really, really helped us a lot to get the perfect, best possible
product done at the end. In the online world, where we have
many websites that show different facets of, not just
our property, but of Starwood and Le Méridien in general it’s important to give something new to
your clients and something new to your travellers, that come here every day,
book their holiday via online channels. And it’s becoming really hard to
realistically show our market what our property looks like through
photography, cause photography is, eveyone is used to highly stylized images
of the hotel that they see on the website. Now, we are giving them a way to
immerse themselves in their future holiday destination,
to see what the space around them really looks like, not just what the
photographer wants to show them. Purely from the online marketing perspective
this is great, because it gives us a way of getting PR about, the initiative,
getting more views of the hotel and therefore getting more e-commerce
out of it, more bookings. Labs360 is a young company and working
with them has been a really great pleasure. They’re professionals, and I actually like to
call them artisans, because they take maximum care in the aesthetics
and the technical excellence of the things that they do. In their search for a perfect shot,
perfect representation of the property Labs360 guys went literally to the extremes
of ensuring that they get the best angle, the best weather, the best light. There’s been many a situation where
the position that they had to be in was always precarious, either on the beach
front or up on the roof or in the marina, just to get their best shot,
and you can see it, you can see it in the images, the angles
from which they took them are amazing! But you know, it takes a lot of dedication,
a lot of attention to detail, a lot of pefectionism
to get it that way …and they’ve managed to deliver all that. I believe that having this great product will
really help sell our property, market our property much better. I think we’re going to be appealing to
the wider consumer base. I think we’re gonna get a lot more exposure
out of it and I’m really looking forward to the next few months, because the summer
booking season has started already, and I’m really looking forward to seeing
the results of all this hard work.
