How to Play Hearts : Good Starting Hand for Shooting the Moon in Hearts

We were just talking about shooting the moon
in the card game, Hearts and we want to know
what is a good hand to shoot the moon with.
Well, here’s a good example, as a matter of
fact, with this hand, it’s virtually impossible
not to get to shoot the moon. The first thing
that you note is that there’s only one club,
and it’s a high club. And then you have the
ace of all the other suits and you have the
king of all the suits and you have the queen
of spades. If you have the ace, king, queen
of spades and the top four hearts, you’re
in very good shape to shoot the moon. As a
matter of fact, if you have the top five hearts,
it’s going to be very hard for anybody to
stop you. How do they stop you? We’re going
to talk about stopping someone from shooting
the moon in the next segment.

  1. Here's one way you couldn't shoot the moon with this hand. The two gets played, you put out your king and then someone else takes the hand with the ace. That person then leads another club. Someone plays a heart. Then you are screwed.

  2. lol what is the point of this video? you just have all the cards and say: yea ithe shoot the moon is guaranteed. ofc it is, with a game like that. wouldnt it be smarter if you actually showed a crappy hand and said how to try shoot with crappy hands?
