How to Play Queendomino Board Game

place the gray board game centrally so that
all players can reach it while still
allowing space for queendomino building set
aside the for starting tiles and shuffle
the 32 building tiles place the stack
gray side up on the leftmost square deal
out the tiles across the building board
once we’re set up I’ll explain a bit
more about the building tiles before we
launch in the gameplay to finish Queen
Queendomino takes position near the board and
the dragon is placed in his den players
select a starting tile and matching
color King and Castle in a two-player
game two kings are used per player only
one King per player in a three and four
player game each player is given one
night and coins that add up to a value
of 7 the remaining coins form the bank
we also have a pool of knights and
towers for later use in gameplay the
dominoes includes seven different color
terrains in different color combinations
some with only a single color the
dominoes are shuffled and placed back
into the box insert so that the color
terrain sites are not visible before we
begin gameplay let’s take a look at the
building tiles use of the building tiles
is central to scoring strategy the
building tile is placed on top of the
red terrain square after it is purchased
the purchase price for the tile is
indicated by its space on the board if
the building tile has items in the upper
left corner the player acquires those
items in the purchase this value
indicates the player will collect bonus
tax money during gameplay all values in
the lower right corner of the tiles are
part of scoring at the end of the game
players have the opportunity to buy a
tile during their turn only if they have
a red terrain Domino in play to start
take the first four dominoes from the
box and line them up load a high number
terrain side down flip them to expose
the terrain
to determine the play order pull a
random king from a hidden pool the first
player places a king on a domino in a
two-player game the second player places
two kings player one gets the final
domino in three and four player games
each player uses their one king to make
a single Domino selection one of the
dominoes will be unclaimed and removed
from play in a three player game now for
our two-player game take the next four
dominoes from the box and line them up
in the same numeric manner before
flipping going forward the playing order
for a round is determined by the
position of Kings the player whose King
is on the top lowest numbered Domino
goes first
however the higher number Domino’s have
more probability for higher scoring
there are five possible actions for each
turn the first and last are mandatory
first add your Domino to your Kingdom
according to the connection rules
Domino’s are connected horizontally and
vertically to create a square in a
two-player game the dimension is seven
squares by seven squares in a three or
four player game it’s five by five at
least two connecting squares must have
the same terrain color the four sides of
the starting tile are wild allowing any
terrain to connect to it once a domino
is in place it may not be moved if a
player’s Domino does not make terrain or
dimension requirements it is discarded
the next three actions are optional for
the second action you may place a knight
to collect tax players each have one
Knight from the start of the game and
remember others can be acquired from
building tiles a knight is placed on the
domino you just added to your kingdom
you may place one night per square on
that Domino immediately collect a coin
value equal to the number of connecting
squares and the territory of that night
you may place a knight on a territory
where other knights have been
placed in previous rounds remember this
building tile when this tile has been
placed that player collects an
additional coin for each night in their
kingdom each time a new night is placed
in the game there is also a similar tile
for collecting tax for towers when new
nights are placed the third action is
construction you need to have a red
square available in order to purchase a
building tile pay the bank for one of
the tiles for sale collect any items
indicated in the upper-left nights from
the bonus may be put into play as soon
as your next turn towers are placed
immediately on the building tile as soon
as you acquire the most towers you take
the Queen when your kingdom hosts the
Queen she lowers your construction cost
by one coin when another player
surpasses or requires enough towers to
tie that player claims the Queen the
next optional move is to bribe the
dragon you may choose to pay the bank
one coin to discard a building tile from
the board this can be an effective move
to block an opponent from acquiring a
building card that seems valuable to
their gameplay bribing the dragon can
only be done once per round by one
player starting with a dragon in its
cave the player hosting the Queen may
not make this move to close out your
turn you must make a domino selection
for the next round
by placing your king on that domino back
to the first line of dominoes the player
with the next king in line takes a turn
first place the domino now optionally
place a knight construct on a red square
bribe the dragon close out the turn by
selecting the next domino the round
continues with all dominoes in that line
the next round is reset by moving the
dragon back to its cave slide remaining
construction tiles to the right and
replace missing squares form a new line
of four dominoes and continue gameplay a
game takes a total of 12 rounds
using all Domino’s regardless of the
number of players when the last Domino’s
have been played the game ends the
player hosting the Queen places her on
the largest territory where she will
count as a crown for scoring players
calculate their kingdoms final score
using the score pad as a guide earned
one point for every three unused coins
for the yellow territory count the
number of connecting terrain squares 12
and multiply that number by the total
number of crowns found in that territory
for the score is 48 calculate in the
same manner for each of the other
terrain types it is possible to add up
territory crown points for multiple
territories of the same terrain add up
points for detached territories
according to the color indicated on the
building tile for example I have two
detached mined territories multiplied by
two that is a score of for the traveling
castle allows a bonus of one point per
Castle there is also a similar bonus for
Knights some tiles give straight bonus
points this one is to the player with
the highest score wins the game
