OLLU women’s basketball vs. Oklahoma Panhandle State University (11-29-19)

OK coach first just your overall thoughts
on the game? I think we came out to a really good start. I think it was great
having Lena back on the court and congratulations to her for scoring her
1,000th point. We came out to a good start and jumped on them fast did what we
do best which is run press and play basketball just our way. I thought we did
really well we got to sub in some kids who wouldn’t normally see as many
minutes so it was really good for us tonight. You guys forced a lot of
turnovers what did you like about the defensive pressure? I always love
defensive pressure so the more defensive pressure the better. We’re always looking
to try to get up pressure and make sure that we’re in good help sides so that
there’s not allowing for any back doors and things like that. I think the team
did really well, we focused on a lot the last week about making sure we were
jumping to the ball and being where we’re supposed to be. I think the
team really responded very well from last weekend. You have a tough game
tomorrow against number three Oklahoma City what’s the game plan? Well Oklahoma
City’s tough, they’re really big they’re gonna come out they’re gonna
play a lot of two three zones so we’re gonna have to hit some shots that’s what
it basically boils down to unless they unless they shrink magically so
yeah. Thank you coach. The Saints beat Panhandle State University 94-65 today.
They’ll play number three Oklahoma City tomorrow at 2 p.m. For Sports
Information, I’m Ryan O’Keefe.
