Paf Fantasy Sports Show – PAFS Episode 19

Will I hit that crossbar
by throwing the ball?
I’ll buy you an ice cream.
– Will you?
If I hit the crossbar from here,
you’ll buy me an ice cream?
This orange ball to the crossbar.
What do I get? – Vanilla soft serve.
This is the first take, of course.
A kick to the crossbar.
What do I get?
– An ice cream.
Welcome to PAF Fantasy Sports.
Sun is shining
and so are Toni’s hairless legs.
We have footballs here,
but today we talk about ice hockey.
One team has qualified to the finals.
We don’t yet know
what the other team is –
but the expansion team
Vegas Golden Knights –
are writing
quite a sensational story.
They eliminated Winnipeg Jets
in the semifinals 4-1.
Patrik did not quite deliver
in the important last few games.
I expected more from
Mark Scheifele and Blake Wheeler.
But Vegas are a nice team to watch.
Erik Haula may be the next
Stanley Cup winner from Pori.
I have a story about Erik Haula.
We have to go as far back as
the C-juniors’ SM series qualifiers.
I played for Kiekko-Vantaa,
and our opponent was Ässät.
We lost the first leg at Vantaa 1-6.
I scored from center ice
in that game.
Then we went to Pori
and lost the second leg 8 – 1.
Erik Haula played in that game.
He scored six goals.
You could see his talent back then.
This episode is actually
our penultimate episode.
And it’s the last
ice hockey episode.
The ice hockey season
has been very interesting.
From Kimmo Kuhta
to Ville Uusitalo and Marko Jantunen.
We’ve had some interesting guests.
What’s your number one memory?
What’s your most important moment
and who’s your most important guest?
My first thought was
meeting Kimmo Kuhta in the flesh.
I got to fool around on ice
with the legendary IFK dude.
I have always supported IFK –
and played bandy
and ice hockey in the club.
But my number one memory
was meeting Marko Jantunen.
He’s a wonderful persona
and a really sincere guy.
And the episode with Jarna
was the only episode –
in which you put goalie’s gear on.
It was nice to try some tricks.
Toni got emotional with Marko,
but in a good way.
I got hit by a puck here so hard
that I had a bruise for two weeks.
Let’s recall what we did.
– I remember it like yesterday.
Warm up is over, Lassi.
This is the real thing.
My body says:
“What are you doing here, Lassi?”
I’ll wait that you get up.
– Thanks.
You can do it, Lassi!
Stick blade save!
Let’s take penalty shots next.
– They are always nice.
Wait a sec,
I need to pick up my stick.
Why it went like that?
Shoot high from close range.
That was close.
Come on!
I don’t know what happened.
The game-winning shots are over.
Jantunen won.
Thanks.
– I’ll take the glove off.
Are you done for today?
I think I’m done for this year.
That’s what it was like in Lahti.
If we think about the highlights
of this year….
We saw Crystal Palace – West Ham
in London –
and got to talk with the fans
in Aki Riihilahti’s living room.
And we visited Edmonton and Calgary.
We got a behind-the-scenes look
at two traditional NHL clubs.
We watch a lot of ice hockey on TV –
so I was really flattered
that this kind of trip was possible.
We had the chance to see
NHL ice hockey live.
We got to visit the locker rooms –
and we met the players and staff.
But still, Sam Abouhassan
was the most memorable dude.
Yes! The magician.
Man who makes perfect suits
for all NHL stars.
I have to bring up
my joke in English.
I went inside and asked
where Wayne Gretzky’s suit is now.
They said
that he gave it to Mario Lemieux –
and it became
a Pittsburgh Penguins uniform.
What was my best bad joke?
I try to be a bit more serious
and you crack jokes all the time.
Perhaps Lassi’s best quip was heard
on the Emirates Stadium tour.
The guide said
that there’s a chance –
to tour the stadium
with legendary David Seaman.
Your David Seaman joke
and the submarine…
Let’s check that out.
Do you know
where David Seaman is now?
No clue, Lassi.
He’s in a submarine.
Do you know why?
Because he’s a sailor.
– Wrong.
The story goes
and the great riddle is:
“What’s long, wet,
and full of se(a)men? A submarine.”
Let’s put this in the episode.
Enough with the quips.
We have to recall the athletic
performances of our guests.
The soon-to-be Survivor star –
Hannes Hyvönen
shot quite a wide around.
First we see Lassi’s wide around –
and then former NHL player
Hannes Hyvönen’s feat.
It was really bad.
Was that a shitty wrist shot?
The coach would be angry
if you did that on your own zone.
His shot looks a bit different.
It goes a full circle.
And a second round.
He really is Wild Hannes.
If we want to
bring up the bad jokes, –
we actually did one episode
that had nothing but bad jokes.
Lassi made bad jokes non-stop
during sightseeing in Edmonton.
Before the clip starts
I can say –
that I tried to offer you
the experience –
that it’s not the journey that kills,
it’s the company.
I wanted to show you
one of the great sights in Edmonton.
The 99 Street that was named
after Wayne Gretzky.
One day, I listened to
Edmonton’s theme song –
that was ordered from
the rapper Jay Z.
It goes: “We got 99 problems,
but a street ain’t one.”
This is a very interesting place.
Behind us is
the most famous bakery in Edmonton.
Wayne Gretzky
bought his wedding cake here.
All Edmonton players
have not fared as well as Gretzky.
In that county jail next door
there’s no cake, only porridge.
You have Jari Kurri’s and
Esa Tikkanen’s suits on the table.
Now when they are retired –
can you make them lose
20 pounds with your suits?
At the end, let’s bring up
one important football match.
Can I say it?
– Go ahead.
Champions League final Real Madrid
versus Liverpool is on Saturday.
Navas versus mouth cancer,
aka Karies or Karius.
Why? Why?
– I had to make one bad joke.
Real Madrid – Liverpool.
Who will win?
Liverpool will win.
Firmino, Salah, Mané.
They are such a great trio –
that they have deserved
the Champions League trophy.
They will get it
with a great performance.
Liverpool will win 3 – 2.
That’s a pretty wild guess.
I agree, but I don’t say 3 – 2.
I anticipate a classical
1 – 0 win for Liverpool.
Liverpool will park the bus
and Real bang their head on it.
Then our Egyptian magician
Mohamed Salah –
will put the ball in the net.
Both teams
are good teams on paper –
but which one is the paper tiger?
We will see.
Do a freeroll for this match
at paf.com.
Pick the players.
Apparently this time –
you can pick players
from both Real and Liverpool –
and then enjoy the points.
We’ll wrap up with an exceptional
crossbar challenge.
Throw backwards to that crossbar.
Go ahead.
Whoa!
I have a spider in the eye again.
That was close. I won.
