  1. UGH! the Democrats want higher taxes for the people earning over 250MILLION DOLLARS!!! (IS THE ME-NO. IS THAT YOU? probably NOT!) any tax increases for Medicare for All will be LESS THAN the premiums we are currently paying and we will actually be COVERED. STOP SAYING THE DEMS ARE GOING TO TAX EVERYONE without GIVING THE FULL ACCURATE [email protected] GAWD!

  2. He's just there to force a second round in the Democratic primary so the super delegates can elect the candidate. He's a team player for the establishment.

  3. Why don't this guy & Joe Manchin stop pretending to be democrats. We can pay for anything if we stop giving unnecessary pay cuts to the wealthy. They rather keep trying to foul they voters with this socialism & how we going to pay for it rhetoric. The ppl that would vote for a Delaney or Inslee are they own worst enemies.

  4. People are being fooled into thinking that the economy is 'booming'. It will crash within a year or two because of ballooning debt, corporate and individual. And now, we hear that Trump's deficits are out of control, too.

  5. That's exactly why we need to vote these corrupt Democrats and corrupt Republicans out of office.
    Bernie Sanders 2020

  6. Between the tax cuts and the 700 billion dollars that goes to "defense" spending and corporate welfare….theres room for helping citizens of the united states with healthcare and finding homes and education.

  7. The former bank teller is way off. She avoid talking about the elephant in the room. The defense budget…! 1 Trillion a year. Delany is an old style guy that will give away the health of every man & women in America if it served him and the donor class. This man is a not a guy you would have as president.

  8. Take healthcare away from several million people and they will die sooner, problem solved in some peoples' points of view.

  9. Conservatives used to be.. conservative. And that included fiscally conservative. These numbers are unsustainable. Trump will bankrupt America like he did his businesses.

  10. Republicans are guilty of more socialism than the Dems ever did but they just frame themselves as "capitalists." Republicans only care about spending when it's being spent on Democratic programs. Notice they didn't cut spending when they had control of all 3 branches of government. Why, you ask? It's because cutting spending slows growth.

  11. Delaney is a trump supporter and he needs to stop pretending he is a democrat. Stephanie is also a trump supporter, she is always giving him the benefit of the doubt. The people who believed trump just wanted to believe anything trump said. Stop Delaney we know whose side you are on.

  12. After Reagan's Trickle Down Economics in 1988. George HW Bush ran on that but it never worked and became a 1 term President. Trump is in the same predicament. The budget will continue another Trillion Dollars each of the next 4 years. What happens when the budget gets into a $5 trillion dollar deficit. Not including the $22Trillion from the last 35 years. No end in sight.

  13. We have a few Rich.
We have a small, shrinking middle class.
We have a vast, growing sea of poor.
Just the way Republicans want America to be.

  14. The working/middle class economy is not reflected in the stock market. That's what Wall Street pundits just don't seem to understand. No one is looking at the middle class financial statement, only their consumption.

  15. They have said something about it though! I believe it was "Economy is good, great economy, 10/10 Economics, best economy of the decade, greatest economy in history, can't get a better economy!"

  16. i'm getting real sick of certain democrats telling us what we can't do.

there's was that one guy a few years back who ran and won on "yes we can"

  17. Ok, GOP-lite vs GOP classic and your audience is left with the impression that this is somehow all "reasonable" and not just a bunch of thieves looting the coffers as fast as they can.

  18. John Delaney should primary Trump as a Republican. He talks like he's living in the eighties, when all this started, and Reagan's boy invented the Trickle-Down Con that Republicans like Delaney and McConnell are still pretending works, even after Stockman admitted it's a scam. In reality Republicans raise the deficit to outrageous levels with tax cuts for the rich and then blame the Democrats for it. Then the Democrats reduce the deficit, and the Republicans still blame the Democrats for it. And then the Democrats don't fight back. Well Bernie's finally here. The MSM is working as hard as they can against him. They want the seemingly unlimited profits the Trump gaffe machine makes for them. We've got to get back to reality, folks. Humanity's survival (even the white humans) is literally at stake this time. Everyone needs to drink and breathe the same water and air, at least till Trump's Space Force starts recording its sitcom from the lunar lunatic house.

  19. Republicans are terrible at managing money and always have been. Their reputation as "fiscal conservatives" has NEVER existed in reality.
Also, drop out, Delaney. No one is voting for you.

  20. "access" to healthcare… we already have that, idiots. that's why the middle class is broke and delaney has 43 million.

  22. i like to see the democrats win 2020 and push the deficit to 30 trillion and give the problem back to the republicans in 2024. I can just sit back and laugh.

  23. The Corporate State Media driving a Center-Right narrative that will guarantee a Trump 2020 victory over any Corporate Democrat the DNC nominates.

  24. AMERICA..NOT ONE TAX CUT WAS GIVEN TO ANY AMERICAN CITIZEN OTHER THEN THE WEALTHY THAT A FACT! STOP FOOLING YOUR SELF TO THINK AND THING TRUMP DOES IS FOR YOU! THE ECONOMY IS FALSE….RETIRED CITIZENS HAD TO GO BACK TO WORK..PEOPLE HAVE MORE TGEN ONE JOB TO SURVIVE THATS YOUR ECONOMY! NOTHING!!!!

  25. NO – the ONLY spending Congress needs to address right now, is the RIDICULOUS $1 TRILLION allocated to the Pentagon! An institution that has over 21 years, managed to see $21 TRILLION go "missing" – yes MISSING!!! Seriously – get a GRIP!

  26. If I ran my household finances the way SpankyPants & the Repugnant RepubliKKKans then I 'd be financially & morally bankrupt & corrupt.

  27. health care is a driver of the deficit???
    w r o n g
healthy people produce more than sick people
    working healthy people
not coupon clippers and stock market players
deficits are made by bankers and people like
    the demented waste-of-skin #dirtyoledon
    and his fellow felons

  28. Unemployment was at 4.8% and Trump said the economy wasn't working. The Dow and S&P had increased the past 7 years while trump campaigned and he convinced everyone we were practically in a depression.

  29. John Delaney and the other corporate Democrats like Pelosi/Schumer should be in prison for public corruption, not spreading establishment propaganda on a national media platform.

  30. Why worry about one trillion. It's anumber so big that people don't understand the immense significance of it. Donny has no idea at all. So stop worrying about the economy going down the drain. It's too late.

  31. Hey Bubba. Unemployment for Hispanics,Blacks and women are at historical lows.
BTW, it was your boy,Obama, who increased the national debt ($11 trill) more than ALL
Presidents that came before him COMBINED. I don't recall any objections from the Dems.

  32. Healthcare costs Americans $1.8 trillion per year, nearly triple the defense department. If we could simply install Canada’s system, we would remove $800 billion per year!

This reduction would not reduce salaries for workers except overpriced surgeons. Most of the savings are the incredible profits going into the pockets of pharmaceuticals and insurance company profits, making a few thousand people very rich at the expense of all Americans.

Most people know that even if they’re doing well now, it can go side ways at any moment. We need to change the discussion. It’s not about growth or unemployment, it’s about a system that is reliable! People want economic security! Trump is providing a Dream with no hope.

  33. Delaney is not a democrat, he is a waste of air time. He will not get on any ticket and he is just there to distract from the real efforts of legitimate candidates. No support from the people, no real possibility at all. It is not so hard to have plans that actually serve the needs of the people of the United States, just stop serving the wars and the big business and stop turning the richest country of all time into a third world country full of unemployed, homeless, people with little education, and poor health. That is where we are headed if we don't change from the status quo.

  34. The economy is only good for people who have stocks and people who are millionaires. Everyone else is being exploited and mistreated.

  35. Not just thefarm aid pckage but all the corporate subsidies, including billions annually to oil and drug companies

  36. Delaney needs to argue why we can’t replicate the Canadian system for healthcare. The fact that he doesn’t reveals the emptiness and bias his arguments are made from. Not serious policy discussion.

In terms of debt reduction, healthcare costs, private and public, and slashing military spending. The problem is people aren’t willing to accept a lower living standard than the developed world anymore, but also aren’t united around ending our global empire. We can’t have both at this point. We can certainly still have the empire and single payer healthcare since it saves money, but a lot of other spending we need to do won’t so clearly cut costs.

The “centrists” don’t make moderate, well reasoned, pragmatic policy proposals. That’s the problem. They buy into the extremist corporatist framing that is anti evidence and irreconcilable with responsible governance

  37. The biggest socialist program in this country is geared to the big corporations who get the most welfare and pay no taxes. Meanwhile the average working people are still struggling on stagnant wages and paying the taxes that support the corporate welfare state and the red state hillbillies who think that since they are white, they are owed their government checks while they sit around drunk and drugged up on our dime and scream that black and brown people are the problem.

  38. No John we need to expand Medicare for all. It saved us 2 trillion dollars less than what it is costing us now. I think the problem is actually that that 2 trillion dollars more for profit insurance is coming out of the pockets of the working class not the owner class isn’t it?

  39. Delaney states the truth that Trump is a con at the end of the discussion. What do we do with cons? Basic Rule of Law please!

  40. Look at the history since Reagan. The GOP gives tax cuts and puts the country in huge debt. Then the DEMS start to fix the problem and they get slandered by the GOP because they can't let the public think that the DEMS are better at managing the economy than they are. Why do you think there are no infrastructure policies? Why do you think a recession is coming?

  41. The W.H guy is still living off the Obama's economy they know he left them with a gift and he the W.H guy has done nothing but given(Kim-jun)freedom to go wild that's why he's done??

  42. Some in the comments say he is a Republican, but I think he's a left leaning moderate.

He believes in climate change (wants to get back into the Paris agreement), supports a public option, likes TPP (like Obama), and wants to get back into the Iran deal. Just because he is not democratic socialist doesn't make him a Republican. I see him as a pragmatic centrist (similar to Obama) who might be able to get things done in a polarized Washington. Although I like him, I don't think he is the household name that he needs to be to get elected (yet). If he's ever brought up, people think I'm talking about John Mulaney.

  43. There is, however, a median American. The scary thing is, this person earns $31,786 per year. Compared to the $48150 annual average income, you can see why it will be something similar to unions that brings the economy back. I am still not convinced we can afford or need Universal Basic Income. Automation is a wreck at the moment. Have you seen what people consider automation? It will be decades before that debate happens. I will be 90 by then. What we need is a return to the 1950s tax system that can fund infrastructure and improvements in k-12, regulation of the higher education system, regulation of medical billing, and probably a massive reform of Medicare and Medicaid.

America had a surplus in our largest spending spree on infrastructure and education in history. We paid for it through a truly progressive tax system and had a surplus.

  44. John Delaney wants to get healthcare costs under control and yet wants to keep the for profit health insurance companies as part of the solution ! Their bottom line is a key driver in the costs he talks about, get rid of these greedy middle men.
