Johnson aka flex on da gram and today imma break down one of my favorite moves
if you master this you’re gonna be catching bodies all over the court
alright the killer crossover we’re gonna get right into it so stay with me let’s
do it we’re gonna break down this killer
crossover it’s one of my favorite moves but to do it you gotta have a little
shiftiness this to your game so if you can’t dance
I advise you guys put some music on and go practice your dance moves
that’s the only way you’re gonna be able to catch that defender and get him to
shift in that direction to hit him with that crossover so right now let’s get
into a few drills that’s going to make you a better player and make you better at
doing the killer crossover I want you guys on the baseline half-court it
doesn’t matter you’re gonna get down get low key to being a good guard and a good
player you got to be on balance at all the times all right so we’re getting our
stance and have the ball in our left right now I’m making this between the
legs left to right and I’m gonna cross back to my left what I’m gonna do it’s
gonna be a quick step with our right foot up all right quick step up notice
my posture I’m low if you look at me right now I look like a track star
sprinter I’m down alright ready to take off the block so if you shift your
weight like this and you get in this position that defenders is automatically
going to jump so we’re working on to start just stepping boom and get low in that
position alright so we’ll do a quick a few times bring it back bring it back do
a few reps 15 20 take a break do it again keep repping and keep repping it after
we get that we’re going to next step of this drill and we’re gonna move down the
floor we’re gonna do the same step right boom but now we’re gonna pull that
crossover bring it back and explode in a different direction alright if you guys
are doing this hard enough and you’re doing it right that defender is gonna
shift to that left and when you cross over he’s gonna be lost so right now
this drill is gonna be continuous all the way down the baseline here we go
snatch low boom low quick low notice when I’m making this
crossover it’s tight around my knee balls not coming higher than my knee
alright my head’s up my chest is up down floor I can see the rim see whats going
on I see that defender shift that’s what we’re gonna do everything we do on the
right side we’re gonna do on the left side alright so we start off the same
way left get on balance it’s working on that first step
boom remember that position like a sprinter ready to go same thing boom good after you do that a few times and move down the floor same exact way hard step left boom pull it back cross cross quick low keep that ball below the
knee all right that step has to be quick
