  1. This is a good opportunity for veteran work crews to establish a reputation good enough for consideration when the national infrastructure rebuild needs workers.Go vets!!

  2. I was born and raised in Atlantic City I don't think it will ever be what it used to be! Great place to grow up during the 80s

  3. Lets see ….. High taxes, Higher taxes, Unions out of control, High taxes, infrastructure crumbling, Money being spent on social welfare programs letting Atlantic city go to waste, Politicians in NJ crooked, corrupt… Police state, over regulated and much more. You can call NJ the "mini me" of California ….

NJ is a giant shit hole that masochists move to and then after 10 yrs of being taxed to death no longer have the ability to live properly or save and move out of the state to be replaced by more ignorant Liberals who think NJ is great …. Until they smell the water and get their Tax bill.

  4. Used to go to AC in the early nineties. That's when the mob was still roaming around. Great time. Met alot of celebraties.

  5. Was just in LV for a convention. What a sty compared a few years ago. Casinos taken over by rude hispanics, shoddy glamour, horrible traffic, overpriced everything. Explains the money going to AC.

  6. Yet another leftist talking point destroyed! Trump's casino was the last of 5 to close and it was an Atlantic city problem not a Trump business problem. The left is full of lies and disinformation!

  7. If the parkway/turnpike authority didn't back up every entrance to the city for the last few years who knows how it would have been by now…Corzine leftover scum.

  8. Imagine more than 50 million genetically-modified mosquitoes being released on your hometown — the city you live in being used as a testing ground for mutant mosquitoes created in a science lab. That’s exactly what will happen in cities in Florida and Texas if Oxitec, a British biotech company, gets its way. I live in Key West, Florida, one of the areas targeted by Oxitec for this mutant mosquito experiment. I need your help to stop this, and to send a message to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) that cities like my hometown shouldn’t be laboratories for big biotech firms. Sign my petition calling on the EPA to prevent Oxitec from unleashing hundreds of millions of mutant mosquitoes into the ecosystem. Oxitec wants to release upwards of 50 million of these genetically-modified mosquitoes per week in the Florida Keys, as well as Harris County in Texas — but we have no idea what kind of harm this type of experiment could have on the environment, or to the health of people who live in the cities targeted by Oxitec. Already more than 170,000 people have signed my petition, and next week I’m personally delivering my petition to the EPA. But I need to add as many signatures as I can to help convince the EPA not to treat my hometown as a laboratory for mutant mosquitoes. Will you sign my petition, and help send a message to the EPA that biotech companies shouldn’t be able to experiment on populations with genetically-modified mosquitoes?

  9. Atlantic City failed BECAUSE of the "Increase in Crime". People were afraid to go there, because they feared on being robbed, beaten and even killed.

When the casinos opened the Crime Rate in Atlantic City "SOARED" and people stopped going there. It's that simple and that's WHY the casino's went broke.

  10. i actually think this latest reinvestment will bring A.C. to consisant mediocrity which is much better than what there now.

  11. I’m not really sure why people say AC is dead. I was just there today and the beach was packed, restaurants had long waits, there was a concert on the beach and there were tourists everywhere.

  12. Atlantic City is surprisingly pretty clean now. I saw people wearing bright yellow ambassador vests picking up trash all around the city.

  13. First heard Atlantic City from watching this American TV series or movie long long time ago when I was still a schoolboy, this lady character told her boyfriend that she planned to go to Atlantic City scene. I'm from Malaysia by the way

  14. Hey, AC, you want to come out on top – on this 'latest roll of the dice'? Then do this: put up billboards and advertise on TV about 'Who will it be?' Or 'Will YOU be the 1?' Then, when people investigate, they find out that one casino in AC is offering to make somebody an instant billionaire. And they are doing it while paying all the taxes on the win as well, so the person actually becomes a billionaire, not like the lotteries where the winner walks away with less than half of the advertised 'Jackpot'. Then explain that all the person has to do to become an instant billionaire is have a five dollar 'Fire' bet on the Craps table when they pick up the dice, and make all 6 points in 12 rolls. In addition, each player at the table also having a $5 'Fire' bet will become an instant millionaire, tax paid, of course. This is the ticket. Anything else will fail miserably.

  15. The problem is the gaming commission in the state of New Jersey with her stupid gaming license and overtaxing the casino owners

  16. “world famous boardwalk” – yea, filled with homeless beggars, lame street performers and rusty nail heads that’ll catch the bottom of your flip flops if you’re not careful. all connected to the dirtiest beach you’ll ever see.

  17. It will never be what it use to be! 30 million people within 3 hours drive is over dramatized!! People in Pennsylvania have their own casinos now! Delaware has theirs, not happening! Those outsiders are looking for a summer vacation at the beach and not the casino!

  18. I have good memories of Atlantic City and I'm glad. Still hopeful that the city can come back. The population steadily declined since 1960 and AC became of the most dangerous cities in New Jersey. Let's hope.

  19. Was just there last week. A well placed hurricane that levels everything would be a good start. Place is a dump and needs a do over.
